how i store my makeup

How i store my make-up...
Today i thought i would show you all how i store all my make-up and beauty products... so hey lets get started.

First things first this is the side board i keep all my make-up on, i use the draws and cupboard as general storage for printers and blankets etc.

So on the left hand-side i have my one direction perfume, a make-up bag and then some hand lotion, body lotion and a Vaseline filled with any lip products.

So here is a close up of it, as you can see the make-up bag is just filled with different eye products, like eye-liner, eye shadow and eye shadow brushes etc...
Here is a close up of whats inside my Vaseline tin, as you can see i have some one direction lip balms, Vaseline, lip butters, lip gloss and lipsticks.
Then on the right hand side i have this box i made out of a shoe box as a temporary holder till i find one i like, in here i just keep body lotion, deodorant, freedom wipes and make-up i use on a daily bases.

Seventeen Matte Foundation

Seventeen Miracle Matte Foundation.

I use this foundation almost everyday and find it really nice to use.It is really nice to apply and gives a really nice finish on your skin.I have it in soft ivory which is one of the lightest shades because i have such pale skin but they have so many different shades so i doubt there will be much trouble finding a shade to match your skin tone.

I think this would be a good product for any type of skin as it doesn't contain any oils and has up to 16 hours shine control, i find that the foundation gives a full and even coverage and covers any spots, redness or dark circles.

I would recommend this product to anyone who wants a nice full coverage and a nice finish without any shine, It was also really cheap at £5.99 from Boots so if you are looking for a nice cheap foundation i would suggest Seventeen miracle matte foundation.

Claire's Mint Nail Varnish

Mint Green Nail Varnish.

When I was in Norwich last weekend i needed a new nail varnish but didn't have much money to spend. So i went into Claire's accessories because they were advertising their new range of nail varnishes.

They had a lot of new nail varnishes including 'leather finishes' and some new 'denim finishes' but i went for a mint green because it is my favorite shade.

I think that this is a really nice colour and if greens aren't your thing then they had a lot of other colours and some other finishes. I would recommend these nail varnishes to anyone because it doesn't chip easily and was only £2.50.

The nail varnish drys really quickly and also looks nice if you put a matte top coat on it. I think that this is a perfect nail varnish for an affordable price.

Ella & Rose body lotion

Ella&Rose sweet lime and vanilla smoothie body lotion.

The smoothie body lotion is great for moisturizing your skin whilst bathing. The body lotion is very easy and quick to apply so there is always time in the day to use it.

I love the smell of this product, it smells sweet but still isn't to strong

I really like this product and would recommend it to anyone who needs a quick easy to use moisturizing product they can use whilst in the bath to save time if they need to dash out after, it is also really affordable.

Ella & Rose Body Souffle

Ella and Rose sweet lime and avocado rich body souffle is a gorgeous dreamy souffle that makes skin feel softly scrumptious smells amazing and makes your skin so smooth i use the body souffle on my face everyday before applying me makeup and it keeps my skin really soft.

I love using it because it smells lovely but also soaks into your skin very quickly so is very efficient even if you are in a rush to get out the house. It takes a matter of minutes for me to apply and let the souffle soak in, it is really moisturizing.

I think that the souffle is so nice and smooth to apply to the skin. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a fairly cheap but amazing body souffle.

My everyday make-up bag

My Everyday Make-up Bag

So my make-up bag is from retreat- home and gift. there website is www.retreat-home.com which is not available anymore but they do have a large range of other cosmetic bags as well as many other products. It is a grey linen bag with appliqued vintage style fabric hearts with small ribbon and button detailing and is waterproof lined so very easy to clean if any products were to spill.(sorry this is not my own picture but my camera is broken so i am unable to take my own)

The first thing from my bag is my seventeen miracle matte foundation which i have done a blog post on already. It is oil free and has SPF 15 in, it gives you a medium-full coverage with a flawless look and just goes on really smoothly and quickly.

Next up is my collection no clumps definition mascara, this is one of my favorite mascara at the moment. it gives a defined look, it gives a nice beautiful look.
Next is my eyeliner, i don't take an expensive eyeliner around with me because it would get bashed around a lot so i just take with me a Primark beauty eyeliner. It gives a nice smooth look and is really easy to apply.
Next is a hydro care lip balm, it makes your lips smooth and is very light to carry around.
Then i have a make-up brush from a pink make-up box. I just use it to apply and blend make-up and any blush i am wearing.I don't have a photo of this brush but it just has a black handle with metal at the base and black tip about an inch long.

Then i have a Body shop eye shadow in the shade 59 cashmere.its just a really nice, dark tan colour. it is really nice and has lasted me ages and still i haven't touched pan. it is really easy and quick to apply and looks great by its self or blended with other colours. Again i unfortunately i don't have a photo of this product.

The last thing is a simple black mirror which was a couple of pounds from the drugstore.

My Graphics book

MY GRAPHICS BOOK!
I am currently doing my graphics communications GCSE in my final year at high school before going on to study hair and media makeup at college.

I enjoy graphics because it lets me express myself as i am not very comfortable with talking about any emotions or feelings so doing graphics allows me to show people my feelings without me feeling uncomfortable.

I have decorated the front of my current graphics book with photos of me and my friends going to or doing different events or activities. Also on the front of my book is a photo of one direction- my favorite boy band and Friends- my favorite TV series, and a photo scan of my hand from when we messed around in graphics at lunch and a picture of some tattoos i want when i am old enough.

The back of my book is covered in notes and names from all my friends from my classes and on the bus i get to school. This started because i wrote on my friends geography folder so two of them wrote on my book and the names and notes started to grow.

In my graphics book I have a lot of different types of works including contact sheets of photos were I can see all the photos I could possible use for a project. In graphics lessons I do a lot of double page artist research, on artists like Richard Hamilton who did a lot of historical photomontages also artists like Yousuf Karsh who is a portrait photographer.

How to make a calligram

How to:Make a calligram.

I am going to teach you how to make a calligram on Photoshop:

Step one:Take a photo of the object you wish to make a calligram of e.g an eye or a banana.

Step two:On a separate layer draw an outline around the object.
Step three:Add in your text and select an individual letter.
Step four:Take an anchor point on the letter and stretch it to fill the inside of the outline.
Step five:Do this with the rest of the letters adding extra anchor points if necessary.
Step six: hide or delete the original picture and if you wish the outline of the shape too.
